A note from us

We're Chris & Casey

We're the husband and wife team behind Bedroom Studio. Chris has worked in weddings for over twelve years and has personally shot more than a thousand of them. Along the way he has trained a team of some of the best photographers and filmmakers in the industry. When he's not at a wedding, he's making documentaries about authentic, raw stories (or eating pizza and watching stand-up).

Casey joined in 2020 after 20 years in hospitality. Her favourite part of the job is getting to know every one of our couples and helping them plan their day.

"Bedroom Studio" was the name of Chris' first video production company, which he started as a teenager in his studio apartment. We kept the name to stay connected to our creative roots and our love of the work.

    Send us your details. We'll confirm our availability and you'll get instant access to our 90-page Ultimate Wedding Guide.

  2. Talk through your day

    We'll go through your plans and the Elevated Wedding Photography package, and tailor hours or extras if you need them.

  3. Secure your date

    A $750 booking fee, paid within 7 days of your invoice, locks in your date.

  4. Plan, celebrate, relive

    The remaining $2,249 is due 30 days before your ceremony. Your coordinator helps plan your timeline.

How much is the Elevated Wedding Photography package?

The Elevated Wedding Photography package is $2,999 for 8 hours of wedding photography (was $5,499). It includes one photographer, all your photos curated and edited, a premium online gallery, high-resolution downloads and your dedicated Wedding Production Coordinator. A fine art album, all raw photos and photo prints are included as a bonus. There are no hidden fees.

What do extras cost?

All packages are customisable. Popular photography extras:

  • Add or remove an hour: $150 per hour
  • Additional photographer: from $500
  • Couples photoshoot: $500
  • 35mm film photography: $750
Are you available on my wedding date?

Popular dates book out quickly, sometimes more than a year in advance. Once you enquire, we'll confirm our availability and secure your date with a booking fee.

Who will actually shoot my wedding, Chris or another team member?

Our director Chris still leads from the front, shooting weddings every weekend. You may have Chris or one of our trusted senior shooters, each trained in our signature style and backed by our full production team.

What makes Bedroom Studio different from other wedding photographers and videographers?

We blend experience, artistry, and reliability. Our director Chris has personally shot over 1,000 weddings, and our full-time editing team ensures every collection meets our signature standard. We're not a solo freelancer juggling admin and editing. We're a dedicated team focused solely on giving you the best possible result.

Do you offer payment plans?

While we don't offer internal payment plans, many couples opt for wedding financing to help them book the package of their dreams. This is a great option if you prefer to make weekly or monthly payments after your wedding. We recommend Pepper Money for wedding financing.

Can we see full galleries, not just highlights?

Absolutely. We believe in full transparency and would be happy to share complete galleries so you know exactly what to expect. We have full gallery examples of most local venues, which can also give you some wedding styling ideas as a bonus.

Can we customise a package to suit our needs?

Yes, all packages are fully customisable. You can add or remove hours, add a second photographer, or add extras like 35mm film photography or a couples shoot.

Do you help with timelines and planning?

Yes. We'll help you plan a timeline that balances photography and natural flow. If you have a planner, we'll work alongside them to make sure everything runs smoothly.

How do I know my photos and films will be safe?

We use dual-slot cameras, RAID-protected drives, hourly mirrored backups, and secure cloud storage. In total, up to five backups are created for every wedding before your final photos are delivered.

Have you shot at my venue before?

Chances are, yes, but even if not, that's no problem. We're experienced at adapting to any space and have experience shooting in all different conditions. We shoot all over the Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Central Coast, Port Stephens, Sydney and beyond.
